SUPERVISORY COMMITTEE

This group meets quarterly and members are appointed by the board for the primary purpose of assuring HFCU is operating in a safe and sound manner. The committee sees that an annual audit is performed by an outside CPA firm and also performs a review of internal audit functions completed by staff members.

2022 ANNUAL MEETING

Tuesday, April 26, 2022 @ 5:30PM

The annual meeting will be held at 1701 E. Melrose Ave. Findlay, OH.
Every member of the credit union who is at least 18 years of age is eligible and encouraged to vote in the board of directors’ election.
The election will open March 22, 2022, and will close on April 21, 2022. 

There will not be any nominations from the floor at the Annual Meeting. Nominees by petition are required to submit to the President / CEO a statement of qualifications and biographical data with a petition signed by 100 members before March 17, 2022.

There are three seats up for election in 2022. Board members will be elected to a term of three years. Election results will be shared at the Annual Meeting. The nominating committee of HFCU has nominated the eight individuals below to appear on the election ballot.

Members must be 18 years of age or older to vote.

BOARD OF DIRECTOR CANDIDATES

Tim Chrulski (incumbent)
Tim is seeking his 1st full term as a member of HFCU’s Board of Directors. He was appointed to fill a vacant board seat in December 2021 with approval from the current board. He currently serves on the board’s Personnel and Planning committees.

Tim holds a degree in Organizational Leadership from Owens Community College. He started his career in the Transportation Industry as a driver with Garner Trucking, Inc.  Since that time, Tim has served as the Driver Relations Manager, Sales Executive, Operations Director and is presently the Chief Operations Officer for Garner Trucking.  
 
Tim is a member of the 2014 Hancock Leadership Class and a member of the American Trucking Associations inaugural LEAD ATA class.  He is currently President of Board for the Toledo Trucking Association. Other affiliations include Membership Committee Chairman for the Truckload Carriers Association (TCA), the American Trucking Association (ATA) Image and Communications Policy Committee Member, Chairman’s Membership Committee Member, and the Labor & Regulatory Policy Committee Member. Tim is also a member of the Ohio Trucking Association Strategic Planning Committee and the Emerge OTA Selection Committee.   
 
Tim enjoys volunteering as an HFCU board member because it is an opportunity to give back in the nonprofit sector. He believes in the valuable services that HFCU provides to the community.
 
Heidi Rupp (incumbent) 
Heidi is seeking her 1st full term as a member of HFCU’s Board of Directors. She was appointed to fill a vacant board seat in June 2021 with approval from the current board. She currently serves on the Asset Liability Management Committee.

Heidi graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Cleveland State University with an MBA in Business Management.  She is the owner of HSR Insurance Agency LLC in Findlay and has been a licensed health insurance agent for 25 years.

Heidi is a member of Flag City Morning Rotary. She previously served on the leadership team at College First Church of God and on the Youth for Christ Board. Heidi enjoys volunteering as a board member because her experiences and leadership as a business owner provide helpful prospective to HFCU.

Dolores Cramer
Dolores served as the Chief Financial Officer for several public schools in the local area for 30 years. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Science, both in Organizational Management from Bluffton University. She also served as an adjunct instructor at Bluffton University. Currently Dolores provides technical support for training on the Ohio Public School state software, and she is a public-school administrator search consultant. 

Dolores is a member of the Ohio Association of School Business Officials (OASBO) and has enjoyed volunteering with Habitat for Humanity. She was a recipient of the OASBO Rich Unger Professionalism award.

Dolores wants to volunteer as a board member because she has been a member of HFCU for a long time and feels her background in finance would be a good fit. She feels she can see things from both the side of the governing board as well as the end user. 

Heath Rider
Heath is the Director of Construction at Trilogy Health Services. He has been in the construction industry for over 30 years and has also worked in the insurance industry and as a realtor. He attended the University of Cincinnati majoring in Business and The University of Findlay majoring in Business & Real Estate.

Heath has been involved with several organizations including the Van Buren Sports Complex Association, the State of Ohio Department of Insurance, Boy Scouts of America, Hancock County Homebuilders Association and the Heartland Board of Realtors. 

Heath wants to volunteer as a board member of HFCU because he wants to help people in the community with the knowledge he has built up over the years. He truly believes in servant leadership and wants to get move involved now that his kids are out of the house, and he has more time available.
 
Benjamin Sapp
Ben is the Director of the Mazza Museum. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and a Master of Arts degree with emphasis in Children’s Literature, both from the University of Findlay. Ben also teaches classes at UF and provides ongoing professional development workshops.

Ben currently serves on several boards including the Christian Clearing House, Arts & Heritage Council, Macklin Intergeneration Institute, Toledo Area Cultural Leaders. In the past he has also served with the Performing Arts Center, Arts Partnership, Community Visitors Bureau and Hancock Historical Museum. 

Ben wants to volunteer as a board member of HFCU because he is interested in the operations of the credit union. He feels his current responsibilities of writing policy, approving budgets, managing endowments, and serving on committees to hire staff would bring valued knowledge to the credit union. 
 
Mike Scoles
Mike is the Chair of the Counseling Department and School Counselor at Findlay City Schools. He holds a Doctor of Education in Policy & Leadership Studies from BGSU, a Master of Science in School Counseling from the University of Dayton, a Master of Arts in Educational Administration from the University of Findlay and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Findlay. He is also an adjunct faculty member at Bluffton University and Winebrenner Theological Seminary. 

Mike has served on the board for the Family Resource Center of NW Ohio and Findlay Youth Theatre. He has also participated in many committees including the Findlay City Schools Homework Policy & Technology Committee, Winebrenner Institutional Research Review Board Committee, Findlay City Schools District Leadership Team, Academic Program Chairs Council and UF Teacher Education Advisory Council.

Mike wants to volunteer as a board member because he believes in the vision and the mission of credit unions, and he wants to become a financial steward for others as a leader in the community. He was encouraged to open an account with HFCU as a young teacher and it was a great lesson in financial responsibility.

Joe Thomas
Joe holds several degrees including a PhD from the University of Toronto, Canada, Master of Divinity & Teachers Diploma from the Covenant Theological Seminary, Masters of Worldview Studies – Education from the Institute for Christian Studies, Toronto, MA from Illawarra College, Australia and BS from University of Kerala, India.

Joe has over 20 years of teaching experience at the University of Findlay, Winebrenner Theological Seminary, Ohio Northern University and Sydney College of Divinity (Australia). He is also an author, ethicist, priest and public speaker. Joe has served on the boards of several organizations in the US, Canada & Australia including the UF Global Education Council. 

Joe wants to volunteer as a board member of HFCU to help maintain the credit union’s stability and growth, as well as to share services to prospective members.
