FAQCan I bring in rolled receipts?
No. Rolled receipts cannot be accepted during the shred event. What if my items are water damaged? Unfortunately, water-damaged materials are not accepted. These items should be disposed of properly according to EPA guidelines. Can I bring banker boxes full of paper? Yes! Banker boxes are accepted; however, we ask that you be prepared to leave the boxes for easier disposal. We also kindly ask that Members limit their drop-off to a maximum of 5 banker boxes per person. What if my paper contains sensitive information? What happens to it? All materials collected during the event will be placed in secure bins located in a locked area with no public access, ensuring your information remains protected. Can I dispose of old magazines? We prefer not to accept magazines, as the material can be difficult for the shredding equipment to process effectively. Can I bring old trophies or plaques for recycling? In previous years, we were able to accept trophies and plaques for recycling; however, due to an overabundance of these items, we are no longer able to accept trophies or plaques at this year’s shred event. |
